Frank loves to use books as pillows. At least he is getting some use out of that book. I thought it sucked. It is ‘Committed’ by Elizabeth Gilbert. I thought I would really like it based on how much I liked ‘Eatpraylove’. But I then realized that I liked the movie, not so much the book. Gilbert is really annoying. ‘Committed’ is about her as a skeptic coming to terms with her impending marriage. She doesn’t want to marry of course but she has to in order to live with her Brazilian boyfriend in the states. Uh duh?! Really she didn’t think the states would have a problem with her boyfriend living there for 6 months, leaving and then coming back for another 6 months. Homeland security probably thought he was a drug dealer. Or working in the states without paying taxes, which he was. How naive! The entire book is her arguing why women shouldn’t get married. I don’t think I will be reading anymore of her books. She should just stick to writing about traveling. Leave the relationship stuff to people who actually respect relationships and know how important they are in our lives. Geez.
