I will always miss you...
A friend of mine passed away right before Christmas.  I was completely shocked.  I have had four important people die before that had made an impact on me.  But I was not prepared for a friend, someone close in age to die.  At first I didn’t believe my friend who called to give me the bad news.  I thought she was joking.  A very cruel joke.  Or maybe he was joking.  I guess that was what I...

I have been watching a lot of ‘Roseanne’ lately.  I got the first and eighth seasons for Kristmas(thanks mom and dad!!).  It is also playing on t.v. everyday.  Darlene kills me.  She is soooo sarcastic. Funny stuff.  I love Dan as well.  He is such a stand up guy.  I really like that sarcastic humour is such an integral part of the show.  lovelovelove.

Lisa Loeb- Do you sleep? →
Lisa Loeb & Nine Stories- Tails I absolutely loved(still love) this album in highschool.  I listened to it constantly.  I love her voice and the way she sings.  Very poetic.  ‘Stay’ played on the radio the other day.  I realized that I didn’t have the c.d. because I lent it to someone and never got it back.  I love every single song! A little known factoid about Krista is...

Kris Carr Vlog #16: Exercise and Vacation →
There is some really good information and ideas in this video.  Kris Carr, once again, proves to be an inspiration.  I turned off the t.v., I am going to do some yoga and then blast some tunes!! After that…read ‘CrazySexyDiet’, of course!! Thanks Kris!

I just finished my post workout lunch.  I made a dee-lish Lebanese lentil salad.  I will post the recipe.  I had never cooked lentils before, okay well they came from a can, but this is the first time I have ever made anything with them.  I had fun at the gym today.  I ran on the treadmill again.  I have to go everyday to run.  Rest one day a week.  Must run…have to run.  I was on the...

I ran and I ran and I ran...
We went to the gym today.  I decided to treadmill it up.  I have been taking it easy on the treadmill thus far.  They scare me.  But I decided that if I really want to run a marathon I gotta make friends with Mr. Treadmill.  I walked for 5 minutes then ran for 3 minutes, etc.  I was on the treadmill for 35 minutes.  Then did my abs and legs.  James was done with the personal trainer and we did 15...

I had another session with our personal trainer today.  He wants to see my food journal.  I am nervous about showing him.  I keep the food/wellness journal for myself.  To keep myself accountable.  He was surprised that I already had a journal, I guess not a lot of his customers do this.  I am thoroughly enjoying having a personal trainer.  I think I might sign up for some more sessions.  They...

What's in a name?
It’s funny, when I was a kid I hated my last name. I always thought that it sounded goofy. But, over the past couple of years I have learned to love it and have become very proud of it. I realized how much yesterday at the gym. On my entry card they had spelt it with an extra ‘E’. This infuriated me. I went to the front desk and asked if she could make a new card(politely). She...

Owwwww.....
Every muscle in my body hurts. Like serious hurt. I am going to tiger balm it up. The gym was so awesome yesterday. I am so happy I decided to go back. Tomorrow is James’ first day. Yikes! I think once he gets into it he will like it. Today I am going to try and figure out this sewing machine. It comes with a DVD and Martha Stewart approves the machine. Can’t be that hard…famous...

Oh farts.
Well, I just finished my first day back at the gym. I am going to be soooo sore tomorrow. I doubt I will be able to walk. Felt good to be in a gym. I missed it so much!! Yay for yoga! Yay for sweat! Yay for personal trainers! In my after workout haze I went to Lulu Lemon and bought a yoga mat bag. Overpriced but I can’t stand not having my mat. It grosses me out to think that I am putting...

Happy friggin' New Year!!!
Well today is the first day of 2011. A year full of promise. The year I become an adult. Dammit. Many things to accomplish this year. I am excited. Starting the new year and making resolutions are things I take really seriously. I haven’t ever had so much hope for a new year to begin. Fresh start. I realized a lot of things last year. It was a hard year but taught me a lot about me and what...
